CBA to back top broking awards
- Created on Monday, 28 November 2011 14:09
The Commonwealth Bank of Australia has again thrown its support behind The Adviser's Australian Broking Awards (ABAs), securing the principal partnership until 2014.
The ABAs are the only awards that exclusively recognise the industry's leading individual brokers and brokerage groups.
Jeremy Fisher won Broker of the Year in 2011 with Aussie winning the prestigious Brokerage of the Year award.
Jim Hall, publisher of The Adviser, said that CBA's ongoing commitment to this event highlighted the impact the ABAs have had on the industry.
"The response to this year's awards was outstanding. There was immense competition amongst the leading groups and individuals to take out the top honours, recognising the value the industry holds in this prestigious event.
"For a financial institution of CBA's stature to throw its weight behind the Australian Broking Awards clearly demonstrates its importance to the broking industry. We look forward to partnering CBA for the next two years," Mr Hall said.
Along with CBA, Westpac, NAB, Citibank, ING DIRECT and Pepper have also confirmed their support for the 2012 event – and with just one partnership remaining sponsorships are sure to sell out soon.
