New title unveiled for women brokers
- Created on Tuesday, 01 November 2011 10:22
In January 2012 Sterling publishing will launch the industry’s first publication focused exclusively for women in the broking industry.
This new quarterly magazine – the name has not yet been revealed – will address the opportunities and challenges that are unique to women running their own business and working in the mortgage and finance sector.
As well as profiling successful women within and outside the industry, the new publication will look at the broader issues that women often face in business.
Sterling Publishing group publisher Alex Whitlock believes that this targeted magazine will have a major impact on female brokers, filling a long standing gap in the market.
“Many of the most successful brokers are women. While a few of them are household names in the industry, there are many unsung heroes.
“Women across all industry segments often face very different challenges to men. There is great merit delivering a focused publication dedicated to sharing success stories, thought leadership and work-life balance strategies to women in our industry.
Mr Whitlock said that Jessica Darnbrough, editor of The Adviser, will take a lead role in creating and delivering the new title, working closely with the experienced The Adviser editorial, design and publishing team to produce a fresh new title for female brokers.
“Our aim is to create not just a publication, but a community in its own right. The new title will give women a diverse platform from which to address key issues, challenges and opportunities while empowering this sector of the mortgage industry.
The new title will be distributed to The Adviser’s 2,917 female subscribers on a quarterly basis from January 2012.
